Short answer: the Ergo E7 is a 4-person Thermo-Spruce barrel with a limited lifetime warranty for $5,190. The heater is sold separately, with three named options. It is the pick for buyers who want to choose their own heater, electric or wood.
Which heater should you pick?
SaunaLife lists three options: the Harvia KIP 6kW electric, the HUUM DROP 6kW electric, or the Harvia M3 wood-burning stove.
Either electric heater needs 240V at 25A on a dedicated 30A circuit. At full power that is 6 kWh per hour, about $1.10 at the 2026 US average of 18.34 cents per kWh. The heater cycles once the room is hot, so a session costs less than that rate suggests.
The M3 needs no electricity. It needs a chimney, clearances from the wood walls, and a supply of dry firewood. Check your local rules on wood smoke first.
Where does it go?
The barrel is 81” in diameter and 71” long, so it covers about 40 sq ft. Interior height is 6 ft 5 in at the center. Shipping weight is 1,213 lbs, and the listing recommends professional delivery. Have the base level and firm before it arrives.
Does 1.65” stave thickness matter?
Thicker staves hold heat longer and are less prone to gaps as the wood dries. At 1.65”, these are thicker than the 1⅜” cedar staves on the Almost Heaven barrels we list. Thermo-Spruce is heat-treated to resist moisture and decay.
What does the warranty cover?
It is a limited lifetime residential warranty for the original purchaser. It excludes normal wear and weathering, which on an outdoor sauna covers a lot. Read the full document before you buy.
You get, you give up
You get Thermo-Aspen benches, Wi-Fi LED lighting, and a choice of heat source. You give up an included heater, so the true price is higher than $5,190.
