Haven & Plunge is an independent buying-guide site focused exclusively on home saunas, cold plunges, and recovery equipment. We compare products across build quality, performance, and price to help you build a home wellness space that fits your routine and your home.
Why we started this
Shopping for a home sauna or cold plunge means comparing products across a dozen different manufacturer sites, each with its own way of listing (or not listing) price, warranty terms, and electrical requirements. A "lifetime warranty" on one page means something completely different from a "lifetime warranty" on another, and the spec you actually need — the one that determines whether you need an electrician — is often the one buried hardest to find. We built this site to put that information in one place, sourced directly from each manufacturer, without smoothing over the gaps when a spec simply isn't published.
How we evaluate products
We research manufacturer specifications, published data, and available customer feedback to compare products within each category. We only describe a product as personally tested when our editorial team has actually done so, and we label that testing clearly when it applies. Who writes this
Our guides and product write-ups are written by Gabriel, our Sauna & Home Wellness Editor. Gabriel is the pen name of the site's editor.
His work is research-based. He reads the spec sheets, installation manuals, warranty terms, and dealer listings, cites dated sources for the numbers he uses, and says so when a manufacturer leaves something out or two sources disagree. He has not tested these products hands-on, and no article here claims that he has.
