Short answer: the Premier IS-1 is a 1-person infrared cabin with heaters on five surfaces and a lifetime residential warranty, priced at $5,799 through a dealer. It is expensive for one seat. You are paying for heater coverage and the warranty, on a normal wall outlet.
Will a standard outlet run it?
Yes. The cabin draws 1,370W at 120V, which is 11.42A, and it uses a standard NEMA 5-15P plug. A common electrician’s rule keeps a long-running load at or below 80% of the breaker rating, which is 12A on a 15A circuit. The IS-1 fits under that, as long as nothing else large shares the circuit.
At full power it uses 1.37 kWh per hour. At the 2026 US average of 18.34 cents per kWh, that is about $0.25 per hour.
Will it fit?
The exterior is 40” wide, 44” deep, and 76” tall, about 12 sq ft. That fits a bedroom corner or a walk-in closet. The interior is 35” x 40” x 71”. At 71” of interior height (5 ft 11 in) you sit, you don’t stand. Weight is 325 lbs, so two people can position it.
What do five heater surfaces add?
The True Wave far infrared heaters sit on the back, front, and side walls, at the calves, and under the floor. Many cabins heat from the back and sides only. Heaters in front and below warm the parts of you that face away from the back wall, so the heat is more even.
What the listing leaves out
Clearlight doesn’t publish a price on its own site. The $5,799 figure comes from an authorized dealer, Synergy Health, and can differ elsewhere. Our button goes to Clearlight’s product page. Ask for the lifetime warranty document and read what “residential use” excludes.
You get, you give up
You get eco-certified mahogany or basswood and a 6-color chromotherapy light. You give up a second seat.
How it compares
The Sunlighten Signature I is a 1-person cabin at $4,999 with a 7-year warranty, but it needs a 20A circuit. See 1-Person vs. 2-Person Infrared Sauna before settling on a single seat.
