Short answer: the Avila is a small far infrared cabin for one, or two who don’t mind close quarters, for $1,999 at Select Saunas. It plugs into a 120V/15A outlet and heats to 140°F with 7 carbon panels. It is one of the cheapest ways into a cabin infrared sauna here.
Size
Outside, 39” x 36” x 73”, plus a 2” roof overhang. Inside, 36” x 32” x 67”. Two adults fit shoulder to shoulder; one has room to spare.
Power
It runs on a standard 120V/15A outlet, non-GFCI, and Dynamic recommends a dedicated one. The listing doesn’t give total watts, so you can’t work out the running cost from it. Ask the dealer.
Dedicated Circuit vs Standard Outlet explains why “plug-and-play” can still mean a call to an electrician.
Heat
Seven carbon far infrared panels: two on the back wall, two on each side, and one under the bench for your legs. The listing gives 140°F as the maximum and 118 to 132°F as its ideal range.
EMF
The listing states EMF “under 3MG,” measured 6 to 8 inches from the panels. That is a specific figure with a distance, which is more than many listings give. It is still the maker’s claim, with no test report attached.
Warranty
Golden Designs, which makes Dynamic Saunas, gives a 5-year limited warranty.
You get, you give up
You get a plug-in infrared cabin with a small footprint at $1,999. You give up room for two adults to sit comfortably and the heat of a traditional sauna.
How it compares
The Dynamic Barcelona is the better-known sibling; Select Saunas lists it at the same $1,999. Compare the two listings for panel layout and size before you choose.
Bottom line: a low-cost, well-specified plug-in cabin for one person.
