Short answer: the MitoPRO 1500+ is a 12” x 36” red and near-infrared panel with 300 LEDs, published irradiance from two meter types, and a 3-year warranty, for $1,169. It is the larger sibling of the 1000+. The extra foot of length is what you pay $300 for.
Run the numbers against the 1000+
| MitoPRO 1000+ | MitoPRO 1500+ | |
|---|---|---|
| Panel size | 12” x 24” | 12” x 36” |
| Area | 288 sq in | 432 sq in |
| LEDs | 200 | 300 |
| Power | 270W | 375W |
| Price | $869 | $1,169 |
| Per sq in | about $3.02 | about $2.71 |
You get 50% more area for about 35% more money. The irradiance is almost the same (above 170 against above 165 mW/cm² at 6 inches on a professional meter). So the 1500+ doesn’t treat harder. It treats more of you at once.
Is 36 inches full-body?
Not quite. A 3 ft panel covers from your shoulders to your thighs, or from your hips to your shins. Most adults still need two positions per side. What it saves is repositioning for the torso. Red Light Panel Size: How Much Do You Need? has the details.
How do you mount 22 lbs?
It weighs 22 lbs and is 36” long. That needs a solid door, a wall mount into studs, or a stand. Our data doesn’t list what mounting hardware is in the box for this model, so check before it arrives.
What does it cost to run?
At 375W, a 10-minute session uses about 0.06 kWh. That is about 1 cent at 18.34 cents per kWh.
What does “FDA Class II registered” mean?
It means the device is registered with the FDA in Class II. Registration is a listing, not a review of results. FDA Cleared vs. Approved vs. Registered Devices explains the terms. The ETL mark covers electrical safety.
How it compares
The Joovv Solo 3.0 costs $1,699 on promotion and doesn’t publish its dimensions or irradiance. Bottom line: between the two Mito panels, pick the 1000+ for targeted use and the 1500+ if you want shorter sessions. Our button goes to Mito Red Light’s product page.
