Short answer: the MitoPRO 1000+ is a 12” x 24” red and near-infrared panel with 200 LEDs, four wavelengths, published irradiance, and a 3-year warranty, for $869. It covers half your body at a time. It is the lowest-priced red light panel on this site, and it publishes its irradiance.
How much does it cover?
The panel face is 288 sq in, about the size of your torso. Standing in front of it, you treat your upper body or your lower body, then move. Full coverage of one side takes two positions. Red Light Panel Size: How Much Do You Need? helps you choose.
How do you read the irradiance figures?
Mito publishes two numbers at 6 inches: above 165 mW/cm² on a professional meter and above 66 mW/cm² on a consumer meter. The gap is large because the two meter types read LED light differently. Many brands quote one number without naming the meter. When you compare panels, make sure both numbers came from the same type of meter at the same distance.
What does it cost to run?
It draws 270W, about 2.25A on a household outlet. A 10-minute session uses 0.045 kWh. At 18.34 cents per kWh, that is under 1 cent.
How do you mount it?
It weighs 17 lbs and comes with an over-the-door hook and steel hanging cables. Check that your door and its hinges can take the weight, and that the door still closes. The box also includes a remote and protective goggles. Wear the goggles when facing the panel.
What do the certifications mean?
ETL is an electrical safety mark. BSCI and ISO 9001/14001 concern how the factory is run. None of them measures effectiveness. HSA/FSA eligibility depends on your plan.
You get, you give up
You get four wavelengths in equal shares (630, 660, 830, and 850nm). You give up one-position full-body coverage.
How it compares
