Short answer: the Joovv Mini 3.0 is a small red and near-infrared panel, 15” x 8.75”, with 60 LEDs and third-party safety testing, for $1,099. It is built to treat one area at a time or to join a larger Joovv setup later. Per square inch, it is expensive.
Run the numbers on size
The panel face is about 131 sq in. That is a little larger than a sheet of letter paper. It covers a face, a knee, or a shoulder in one position. Treating your whole back means moving it several times.
Compare the price per square inch of panel:
| Panel | Size | Price | Per sq in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Joovv Mini 3.0 | 15” x 8.75” | $1,099 | about $8.37 |
| MitoPRO 1000+ | 12” x 24” | $869 | about $3.02 |
| MitoPRO 1500+ | 12” x 36” | $1,169 | about $2.71 |
Size is not the only measure of a panel, but it decides how long a session takes.
What do the specs say?
There are 30 LEDs at 660nm (red) and 30 at 850nm (near-infrared). Output is up to 36W, with a stated irradiance above 100 mW/cm². Our data doesn’t give the distance for that measurement, and irradiance falls quickly as you move back. Ask Joovv at what distance it was taken.
It weighs 7 lbs and mounts on a wall. Intertek tested it to safety standards, which covers electrical safety, not how well it works.
Why buy small?
Two reasons. You only want to treat a small area, such as your face. Or you plan to add Joovv panels over time, since the Mini links with the rest of the system. Modular vs. Single Red Light Panels: The Math shows when building up costs more than buying big.
What does the warranty cover?
Two years. The app controls modes, timers, and pulsing over Bluetooth.
How it compares
The Joovv Solo 3.0 is the larger vertical panel at $1,699. The MitoPRO 1000+ gives you more than twice the area for $230 less. Our button goes to Joovv’s product page. See Red Light Panel Size: How Much Do You Need?.
