Budget infrared cabins are where most first-time buyers start, and the Dynamic Barcelona is one of the best-known. It’s our Best Value pick in the infrared comparison, mainly because its price is published and its install is simple.
This article goes deep on that one model. For the general buying decisions, start with the infrared sauna buying guide.
Short answer: the Barcelona is a compact 1–2 person far-infrared cabin that plugs into a 120V/15A outlet. It suits small spaces and first-time buyers; it doesn’t offer full-spectrum heat or much room for two.
The specs that matter

Size and fit
At 39 × 36 inches outside, the Barcelona is one of the smallest cabins we cover. Two adults fit, but closely; it’s best thought of as a 1-person cabin with room to share.
Power
You get the easiest install in the category: a 120V/15A outlet, no electrician in most homes. Dynamic specifies a non-GFCI outlet and recommends a dedicated one, so check what else shares that circuit.
EMF
The Amazon listing advertises “low EMF (under 8 mG),” and a separate Barcelona Elite model claims under 3 mG. As with any EMF figure, ask where it was measured; the number alone isn’t comparable across brands.
Price
Here’s what the spec sheet won’t tell you: this model’s price swings a lot by retailer. On the same day, Golden Designs listed it at $3,499 and Select Saunas at $1,999. Match the model number (DYN-6106-01) and the warranty terms, then take the lower price.
Who it suits
You get a low entry price, a small footprint, and a simple install. You give up full-spectrum heat, extra space, and the longer warranties of premium brands.
My rule of thumb: if you want to find out whether you’ll use an infrared sauna before spending $5,000 or more, the Barcelona is a sensible first cabin.
See how it compares with the Clearlight Sanctuary 2 and Sunlighten Signature II in our infrared sauna comparison, or weigh infrared against traditional heat in the home sauna buying guide.
Bottom line: a small, simple, fairly priced first infrared sauna, as long as you shop the retailer price.
