Infrared cabins range from compact budget models to premium full-spectrum rooms sold by quote. Most first-time buyers are shopping for a 1–2 or 2-person cabin for a spare room, basement, or garage corner, and that’s the segment this comparison covers.
These are the three we’d shortlist today. For heater types, EMF claims, and wiring in more depth, see the infrared sauna buying guide.
Short answer: the Clearlight Sanctuary 2 is the best all-rounder if budget allows. The Sunlighten Signature II is the pick for an established far-infrared brand. The Dynamic Barcelona is the best value and the easiest to price.
At a glance
Clearlight Sanctuary 2: Best Overall
The Sanctuary 2 pairs two 500W full-spectrum emitters on the front wall with far-infrared panels on the back, sides, and floor. It plugs into a 120V/20A outlet, so most homes won’t need an electrician beyond confirming a 20A receptacle, and Clearlight states a limited lifetime warranty for the original owner.
You give up price transparency. Clearlight doesn’t list a price; dealer listings we saw clustered around $6,000–7,500, a reseller snapshot rather than a manufacturer figure.
Best for: buyers who want full-spectrum heat and a written long-term warranty, and don’t mind requesting a quote.
Sunlighten Signature II: Strong Alternative
The Signature II is Sunlighten’s 2-person far-infrared cabin, built around its SoloCarbon heaters, with chromotherapy lighting included. Its bench fits one person stretched out or two seated. It needs a dedicated 120V/20A circuit.
You give up full-spectrum heat and a published price: reseller listings ranged roughly $4,900–7,500 depending on wood and promotions. We also couldn’t confirm a written warranty term on Sunlighten’s own product page.
Best for: buyers who want an established infrared brand and don’t need full spectrum.
Dynamic Barcelona: Best Value
The Barcelona is the only cabin here with a published price, and the gap between retailers is large: $3,499 at Golden Designs and $1,999 at Select Saunas on October 1, 2026. It’s a compact 1–2 person far-infrared cabin in Canadian Hemlock that plugs into a 120V/15A outlet.
You give up space and heater coverage: it’s much smaller than the other two and far-infrared only. Dealers list a 5-year limited warranty, which isn’t on Golden Designs’ own page, so confirm it with the seller.
Best for: first-time buyers, small rooms, and anyone who wants a firm price without a sales call.
Which one should you buy?
- Full-spectrum heat and a lifetime warranty: Clearlight Sanctuary 2.
- An established far-infrared brand with chromotherapy: Sunlighten Signature II.
- The lowest cost of entry and a published price: Dynamic Barcelona.
If you’re still deciding between infrared and traditional heat, the home sauna buying guide covers that choice.
Bottom line: if the plug matches your outlet and the cabin fits your room, the choice comes down to how much you value full spectrum and a long warranty.
