Short answer: the E6 is a 3-person Thermo-Spruce barrel with a tall 6’5” interior, for $4,390 at Select Saunas. The price includes a roof kit and Wi-Fi lighting but not a heater. Add the heater’s cost before you compare it with heater-included barrels.
The size that sets it apart
The barrel is 81” in diameter and 59” long outside, and 77” across and 51” long inside. That diameter gives a 6’5” interior height, so most people can stand.
Here’s what the spec sheet won’t tell you: 51” inside is short. Three people sit side by side; nobody lies down. The longer SaunaLife Ergo E7 seats four.
Build
The staves are 1.65” Thermo-Spruce, with 1.1” Thermo-Aspen benches and backrest. Stainless bands are 1-7/8” wide. A black shingle roof kit and drip edge come in the box, along with dual floor drains, bronze tempered glass, and a heater guard.
The lighting is a white LED bar with a Wi-Fi app and a remote, on a 120VAC power supply.
The heater you still need
The package contents list no heater. You choose one, electric or wood, and that choice sets the electrical work. A 6kW electric heater, for example, draws about 25A at 240V, our arithmetic; your electrician sizes the circuit.
Traditional Sauna Heater Sizing shows how to match heater output to the room.
Weight and base
The listing gives 1,103 lbs. Build a level, solid base, and leave room at the door.
You get, you give up
You get standing room, thick wood, a roof, and lights for $4,390. You give up a heater in the price and a warranty term on the listing.
Bottom line: a good shell for someone who wants headroom and their own choice of heater. Price it with the heater before you decide.
