Short answer: this is a 6-pack of Plunge’s own replacement filters for the All-In and Pro Chiller systems, priced at $46. That is about $7.67 per filter. Check that your Plunge model is one of those two before ordering.
Run the numbers
- 6-pack: $46, or about $7.67 each
- 12-pack and 24-pack: also sold, prices not in our data
How long a pack lasts depends on how often you change the filter. Plunge doesn’t publish an interval on this listing, so use your manual. As an illustration: changing every 2 weeks uses 26 filters a year, about $200 at the 6-pack rate. Changing monthly uses 12, about $92. Find your interval, then pick the pack size.
Will it fit your tub?
The listing names the All-In and the Pro Chiller. The Plunge Original we list ships with a 6-filter starter kit, but our data doesn’t confirm that this pack fits it. Match the filter to your chiller model in the manual, or ask Plunge. These won’t fit other brands’ tubs.
Why change filters on time?
The filter traps skin oils, hair, and debris. As it loads up, water flow through the chiller drops. Low flow makes the chiller work harder and cool more slowly, and some units will show a flow error. A fresh filter is the cheapest way to keep an expensive chiller healthy.
You can extend filter life by rinsing off before you plunge and keeping the cover on. Cold Plunge Filter Replacement: When and Which has a schedule.
Brand filter or generic?
These are the manufacturer’s own filters. Generic cartridges may cost less, and a poor fit can let water bypass the filter. While your chiller is under warranty, I’d stay with the brand filter so a claim can’t be questioned.
