Short answer: the Azure is a 4-seat lounge spa with 25 jets, a 2-speed 1.5 HP pump, and a published warranty, at $7,499 MSRP. You pay more than double the price of the budget plug-in spas here. What you buy is documented coverage and a dealer network.
Will your deck hold 3,020 lbs?
Filled weight is 3,020 lbs on a footprint of 5’7” x 6’7”, about 36.8 sq ft. That is roughly 82 lbs per sq ft before bathers. Many residential decks are not built for that load without added support. Have a builder or engineer confirm it, or plan a concrete pad.
What does the warranty cover?
Hot Spring publishes three tiers:
- 5 years on the structure and shell
- 2 years on the cabinet
- 1 year on no-leak plumbing and components
The 1-year tier covers the parts most likely to need service: the pump, heater, and controls. Read it as a 1-year equipment warranty with a longer shell guarantee, and ask the dealer who performs the repairs.
115V or 230V?
It ships as a 115V plug-in spa and converts to 230V hardwired. The spa holds 235 gallons, and raising that from 60°F to 102°F takes about 24.1 kWh before heat loss. Our data doesn’t state the heater wattage in either mode. With this much water, I’d ask the dealer for heat-up times in both modes and price the 230V circuit before you sign.
You get, you give up
You get a lounge seat, 25 jets in three sizes, 100% no-bypass filtration with a 50 sq ft filter, full-foam insulation, and an included cover. You give up $4,000 or more against the AquaRest Discover Premium 600 ($3,479, 6 seats, 29 jets), which doesn’t publish its warranty.
How it compares
Our button goes to Hot Spring’s product page. The spa is sold through Hot Spring dealers, so expect to finish the purchase there. Bottom line: the pick when written warranty terms matter more to you than price. It is one of three picks in our hot tub comparison.
