Short answer: the Hot Spring Mini is a 2-adult, 125-gallon spa from the Freeflow Collection that runs on a 115V outlet and converts to 230V. It is the smallest rigid spa on this site. There is no published price, so you’ll need a dealer quote.
Will it fit, and will the surface hold it?
The footprint is 6’ x 4’5”, about 26.5 sq ft. Filled weight is 1,655 lbs. Divide one by the other and you get roughly 62 lbs per sq ft before two adults get in. That is a lighter total than any other rigid spa in our catalog, but it is concentrated in a small area. Check an elevated deck before delivery.
How much heat does 125 gallons need?
Raising 125 gallons from 60°F to 102°F takes about 12.8 kWh (125 gal x 8.34 lbs x 42°F, divided by 3,412). Our data doesn’t state the heater wattage, so I can’t turn that into hours. As a reference point, a 1kW heater would need about 13 hours and a 4kW heater about 3, before heat loss. Ask the dealer which heater the Mini uses in each voltage mode.
Here’s what the spec sheet won’t tell you
- Price: set by each authorized dealer
- Warranty terms: not in our data
- Heater output at 115V and 230V
- Delivery and placement fees, which dealers quote separately
I dislike “request a quote” pricing because it makes comparison hard. Get the quote in writing with delivery, cover, and steps listed as separate lines.
You get, you give up
You get 11 jets, full-foam insulation, a 50 sq ft filter, and compatibility with the FROG sanitizing system. You give up seats and jet count. This is a spa for two.
How it compares
The AquaRest Discover Premium 300 is also a 2-adult spa and publishes a price ($3,199) with 20 jets and 160 gallons. The Mini’s advantage is its smaller footprint. Bottom line: get a quote, then compare it against that $3,199. Small Hot Tubs covers fitting a spa into a tight yard.
